In the aftermath of one of the most powerful storms ever recorded in the southern hemisphere, we joined relief efforts to respond to the immediate needs of those hit hardest.
Well wishers were able to contribute to the relief effort by visiting the GoFundMe Campaign.
Saturday 18th March 2023: Following reconnaissance work by Round Table Blantyre 20, a donation valued at approximately MWK 2.5m was made to the camp at Mayera Primary School in Chileka. The donation was attended by Mr. Malawi Emmanuel Muhuwa, who assisted with the distribution of items. Among the items donated were 150 blankets, 150 RAB food packs, likuni phala (children's porridge), plastic cups and plates, water buckets, laundry soap, and RAB Thumbs Up drinks.
Sunday 19th March: We provided further assistance to those in need by donating items valued at approximately MWK 1.6m to the Chambo Evacuation Centre in Zomba. The donation included 100 blankets, 100 RAB food packs, a bale of RAB biscuits, plastic cups and plates, water buckets, laundry soap, and reusable sanitary pads.
In total, these donations have benefited 240 people.

Wednesday 22nd March 2023: Round Table Malawi donated items valued at MWK 3 million to individuals at Chaweta School in Njuli. These included blankets, food packs, likuni phala (children’s porridge), plastic cups and plates, water buckets, laundry soap, and more. The donation benefited 200 people.
Sunday 26th March 2023: Together with Malawians Health Initiative (MHI), we visited the lower shire to make a donation valued at MWK 15.2 million. The donation included blankets, food packs, reusable sanitary pads, and other essential items, benefiting 900 individuals at Chidyamanga Primary & D.A.P.P Nursery School in Nsangwe.

Saturday 27th May 2023: Donations of assorted items valued at MK11,133,737.00 was made to Nsanje North, Makhanga area, Namyala and Kalulu Camps. The event was coordinated by Round Table Blantyre 20 backed by sponsorship from Helios Towers.
The Namyala and Kalulu camps, which house 1000 families received seventy-five 50kg bags of ufa, seventy-five 3kg bags of soya pieces, five 50kg bags of beans, five 2kg bags of boltsalt, five 50kg bags of likuni phala, ten 20kg bales of sugar, three 20 litre bottles of cooking oil, 50 cartons of washing soap, 500 plastic plates and 500 plastic cups.
